I spent years waiting for the right home to start living in one.
Between the three year period of 2021-2024, I moved four times — with two small kids, during parental leave, spending lots of our savings that were supposed to go toward a downpayment for a house. I kept telling myself the real home was coming. The house we'd buy. The apartment we'd finally own. Then I could paint the walls. Then I could use color. Then I could make it mine.
That moment never arrived. So in January 2025, we moved into our dream rental on the street I'd always wanted to live on — and I decided to stop waiting. We painted. We explored color. We made the home we actually live in feel like us.

I'm someone who spent years studying color logic, light direction, and what actually makes a space feel cohesive — not because I had a studio, but because I needed to figure it out for myself. I learned by doing it wrong first, then understanding why.
My approach is not just taste-based, it’s also physics-based. I look at which direction your windows face, what temperature your floors are, how much contrast your room can hold. These aren't opinions — they're the actual reasons why some rooms feel right and others don't.
